This project is formed in ASP.Net with C#.Net and SQL Server on the subject Online Book Store Project. This project has a responsive design.
There are 2 modules during this project which are as follows:-
User Module of Online Book Store Project:-
Signup Page:– On this page, users can register on the site by filling up various fields.
Login Page:– After registering on-site one can log in and use the site.
After doing login into the site, the user can see different categories of books. Then after clicking on categories user will see different subcategories of the books. After clicking on subcategory user will see various books available in that subcategory. Clicking on the book name user will see details of the book like its name, rate, name of the author and publisher, book language, its stock, etc. If the user likes that book, then the user can add it to their cart. User can add as many books as he likes into their respective cart. The user can also delete the book from their cart.
After finalizing the cart, the user can go to checkout and their user will get different payment modes like cash on delivery and card payment. Then the user has to choose the payment method and the user will fill shipping address. After making a payment user will get their order number.
Search Page:- User can look for any book by filling book name. If any matching book is out there then it will be displayed. Users can click on the book name to see its various details.
Contact Us:- User can send their messages to the owner of the website.
Feedback Page:– This page is used to sending feedback to the owner about the website or services.
Order History:- On this page user can see a list of orders placed by him. One can also check order status and books ordered within that order.
Change Password:- Using this page one can change their password. This facility will be only available after logging in to the site
Admin Module:-
Add Category, Sub Category & Product:– Admin can use these 3 pages to add a new category, subcategory, and the book. Admin will have to enter various details and upload its picture. Admin can skip uploading of the image if it is not available at that time. The website will add the default image automatically.
Add Author, Publisher & Language:- Admin can use these 3 pages to add new author, publisher, and language for the book.
Update/Delete Category, Sub Category, Book:- Admin can use these 3 pages to update or delete any previously added information of book category, subcategory, or the book itself. Admin can change and delete any information about them.
Update/Delete Author, Publisher & Language:- Admin can use these 3 pages to change information about author, publisher, and language.
View Orders:- On this page owner can view orders made by all the users. Admin can see books ordered within that order. Admin can update the status of any order.
View Messages & Feedback:– On these 2 pages, the admin can view a list of messages and feedback sent by different users through the contact us and feedback page.
